Refunds and Cancellations

  • Cancellation Due to Low Enrollment: Camps may be canceled with low enrollment. We will decide this three weeks before the session starts. If your camp is canceled, you'll be notified and given a choice to select another camp (subject to availability) or receive a full refund.
  • Cancellation by Participants: To cancel a camp enrollment and receive a refund (minus cancellation fees), you must notify us in writing by 5:00 p.m. on May 1st, 2024.
  • Cancellation Fees: The fee is $80 for a full-day camp and $40 for a half-day camp per session per child.
  • No Refunds After Deadline: No refunds for cancellations made after 5:00 p.m. on May 1st will be issued.
  • Missed Days: Missed camp days are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to other sessions.
  • Cancellation Process: Email your cancellation request to camps@discoveryplace.org with "Cancellation Request" as the subject line. Include the registrant's full name and the order number on your registration confirmation. If canceling multiple camps in one order, specify each camp's week(s) and grade level(s). It may take up to two business days to process your cancellation.
  • Confirmation of Cancellation: A cancellation is incomplete until you receive a confirmation email. Your camp is still considered active if you don't receive our confirmation.

Extended Care Options

  • Availability: Extended Care is available for Full Day Camps only, from 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.-5:15 p.m. This option is subject to limited availability and requires a minimum number of enrollments.
  • Cost: The fee for Extended Care is $75 per week.
  • Registration and Notification: You can register for Extended Care now. We will inform you in May if Extended Care is unavailable during your camp week.
  • Activities: During Extended Care, children will engage in various games and activities organized by the Extended Care Team.

Wait List Procedure

  • Joining the Wait List: If a camp session is full, you can join a Wait List.
  • Notification: Waitlist members will be notified when a spot becomes available. However, being on the waitlist does not guarantee a space or provide priority booking.
  • How to Join: To be added to a Wait List, attempt to register for a camp marked as 'sold out.' You will see an option to 'join the waitlist.' Click this and fill out the form with your contact details.
