For young ones who love getting up-close and personal with creepy crawlers! Campers will encounter the small world of bugs as they walk the Paw Paw Nature Trail and explore the pond.
From constellations to comets, aspiring young astronomers will investigate our solar system and beyond with out-of-this-world activities and exploration in the Discovery Place Nature Planetarium.
Nature is a rainbow! In this camp, young creators will experiment with rainbow colors and themed activities. Each day they will reimagine and recreate elements of nature inspired by rainbows.
Did you know the Paw Paw Nature Trail is home to numerous animals? Campers will unearth all the layers of the 100-year-old forest as they search for animal habitats and learn to build one of their own.
Ever wonder how animals build their homes? Campers will examine natural structures and see how animal architects build their complex shelters and then build their own structures and habitats using unique and natural materials.
How can animals and humans stay alive in the wild? Campers will learn tricks of the trade and practice outdoor survival skills by building shelters, navigating through the woods and observing animals in their natural habitats.
Who else enjoys your backyard? Campers will discover the amazing creatures that share their space and test ways to make their backyard a home to native plants and animals.
Prepare to get dirty! Young explorers will get hands-on with the great outdoors by digging in the dirt, meeting slippery, slimy animals and having fun with magnificently muddy activities.
Explore the world from the ground up! Campers will spend the week connecting with nature and taking a closer look at the world around them when they conduct experiments, observe animals and dig in the dirt.
It’s a water world! Campers will investigate water habitats in and around Discovery Place Nature as they engage with aquatic plants and animals, splash in the rain and learn all about the importance of water in our world.

If you need to cancel any summer camp enrollment – for any reason – you must notify us in writing by 5:00 p.m. on May 1, 2023, in order to receive a refund of camp tuition – minus the cancellation fee.
